Community Involvement

Mr. Sheahin presently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs. He also works with the Legal Assistance Foundation pro bono on various cases involving children's Social Security Income cases, Adult Employment cases and Probate matters. He is a former board member of the Northwest Regional Advisory Board of Catholic Charities. Matt also participates in the annual Lavelle Law Charities annual food drive.

While out on suspension, TJ's legal team filed a Complaint and Emergency Motion for TRO and Injunctive Relief (Terrence Shannon Jr. v. The Board of Trustees of The University of Illinois, and Timothy Kileen, in his official capacity, Case No. 24-CV-2010). The injunctive relief sought, barring the school from banning him from team activities while his criminal case is still pending, is the focus of this article.
