Community Involvement

In the June 2022 Primary Election, Annette successfully secured a place on the November General Election Ballot for DuPage County Board, District 4 which includes Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Glendale Heights, and Lombard. Her first publicly elected position was in 2019 when she became one of seven Trustees to serve in governance for the College of DuPage. While on the COD Board, Annette has chaired the General Counsel Search Committee (2020), has been a member of the Budget Committee (2020 -2022), and presently chairs the Audit Committee. 


Annette has been active in her faith community at St. Michael’s Parish in Wheaton since 1993. Her roles have included Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Greeter, and Pastoral (leadership) Council. Annette is the Co-founder and Co-Coordinator of the St. Michael’s Lenten Fish Fries, established in 2010 while Annette was School Board President at St. Michael’s Parish School. The proceeds from the event fund the Parish School’s Endowment Fund. 


Annette has been active since 2011 in Boy Scouts. She served as Committee Chair and Eagle Scout Coordinator from 2011 to 2018. She has been a Merit Badge Counselor for countless scouts on merit badges including Family Life, Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, and Law. Annette is the proud mother of two Eagle Scouts. She remains an active member of Troop 34’s Eagle Board of Review. (Troop 34 is the longest, continuously chartered Boy Scout Troop in the State of Illinois, originally receiving its Charter on May 1, 1921.) 


The Lions Club of Wheaton recently inducted Annette into its ranks on April 12, 2022. Annette accepted the opportunity to serve on the NAMI DuPage Board of Directors this past March. (NAMI’s mission is to continue to improve the lives of those with mental illness and their families through its many support and education programs, and its advocacy at the state and national level.) Annette will serve a three (3) year tenure.
