ATTORNEY - Business Law


Job Summary
We are seeking a business attorney with 2-4 years of experience to contribute to our busy transactional team. This role requires strong legal research and writing abilities and good communication skills. The Attorney will be responsible for negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements, conducting diligence, and researching a variety of legal issues affecting businesses. After onboarding and training, the firm offers some hybrid flexibility to work from home.


Duties

  • Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing a variety of contracts and agreements with precision and clarity
  • Managing diligence requests and responses
  • Researching issues related to business transactions, including M&A, tax, real property, and employment law matters
  • Collaborate with other team members and legal professionals on larger transactions to provide excellent representation


Requirements

  • Active license to practice law in Illinois
  • 2-4 years of transactional experience in a law firm setting
  • Strong writing, verbal communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters independently
  • Comfortable handling client communication
  • Legal research skills and experience with tools like Lexis-Nexis
  • Portable book of business is a plus

 




ATTORNEY - Civil Litigation - Banking & Finance Litigation

 

Job Summary

We are seeking a civil litigation attorney to manage an active caseload with meaningful courtroom exposure and long-term growth potential in one of our most rapidly growing practice areas. This role requires strong legal research and writing abilities, good communication skills, and initiative. The Attorney will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice, representing clients in court, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. After onboarding and training, some hybrid flexibility to work from home.


Duties

  • Ownership of matters from filing through judgment, including client interaction and court appearances
  • Draft legal documents, including briefs, contracts, and agreements with precision and clarity
  • Conduct thorough legal research on issues related to mortgage foreclosure, litigation, and collections
  • Maintain records of all case-related activities and communications within our practice management software
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals to ensure comprehensive representation


Requirements

  • Active license to practice law in Illinois
  • Litigation experience preferred (foreclosure/collections helpful but not required)
  • Strong writing, verbal communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters independently
  • Comfortable handling court appearances and client communication
  • Legal research skills and experience with tools like Lexis-Nexis
  • Portable book of business is a plus
